Is it just me or did you also feel that 2017 just flew by so fast? I can’t believe it’s already 2018! Like every year, I started 2017 with a list of goals to accomplish. To be honest, I really like coming up with goals because for me it was something to look forward to. Here are some of the things I ticked off of my 2017 goals.
APPLY AND GET PASSPORT
I know it’s pretty irresponsible of me to not get my passport earlier but I purposely put this on my 2017 goals so I could get it once and for all, and I did. I actually got rejected on my first application because of the lack of documents presented during the checking but on my second try, I fortunately got approved. So, I’m hoping for international travels this 2018!!!
ENROLL MASTERS CLASSES
Last August, I officially became a student again. It has been a goal for me to have my masters degree but it wasn’t until I enrolled that I realized how serious and hard this was. Lmao. This isn’t really a joke, but I’m glad I enrolled and so far I’m still adjusting to the new environment.
PASS CIVIL SERVICE EXAM
This has been one of the major plot twists of my 2017. I mean, I did not really expect that I will pass the exam partly because of my negligence when it comes to reviewing. I was so busy during the school break and had a lot of things going on that reviewing was at the bottom of my to-do list. The exam was easy, I mean parts of it were easy but I had a hard time mainly on using the time allotted efficiently because the questions were so long that you are required to re-read them over again to comprehend them fully. Also, I had a hard time when it came to numerical reasoning which is normal because I just don’t like maaaath. Huhu. And on top of that, I did not finish the exam due to time constraints. During the exam, I prayed to God so hard for wisdom and guidance and He answered my prayer!
VISIT NEW PLACES
I didn’t actually reach my goal of travelling to at least 5 new cities/places in 2017. But still, I went to places and experienced new things! And I’m hoping for more adventures this 2018.
GROWTH
And when I say growth, I do not mean physical but I did gain weight which is a plus! Lol. If I’m being honest, 2017 has been a challenging year for me in all areas of my life. It was a year of emotional struggle and a year of pure joy combined. Still, I’m thanking 2017 for the bruises and the scars for it made me wiser and better.
And that’s just a few of the things I’m grateful I accomplished this year. There’s still soooo much to be thankful for and I hope 2018 will be more awesome. I will be posting my 2018 goals anytime soon. So, adios, 2017! And bring it on, 2018!!!!
What are the goals you achieved last year?

Happy New Year! 😀
It’s wonderful that you finally got a passport. It’s one of those things that I have been thinking about for a long time, but haven’t done either. I should try and do it as well! 😀
Congratulations on taking the plunge for the masters! I am sure it would be a difficult degree to do, but I am sure you can! 🙂
Hopefully, you will be able to do a lot of travelling in 2018 and completing all you want and need to do.
