I think it’s safe to say that March was a month of Netflix binge-watching for me and for this month, let’s just say I went a little bit overboard in binge-reading. Okay, I’m kind of exaggerating. I guess this is one of my #QuarantineMadeMeDoThis moments? I have never read this much in just a month. Lol. Last year in my GoodReads reading challenge, I finished 20 books out of my 50-book goal. And this month, I’m almost halfway done on my 25-book goal. I will be providing just a gist of my review of the books that I’ve read but if you do want to discuss a certain book, my social media accounts and comment section are open!

Regretting You by Colleen Hoover ★★★★☆
This story revolves around Morgan Grant and her daughter, Clara. It’s basically a love story but it’s focused on family more than anything. I didn’t click with this story, unlike her other books which I loved. It’s not my favorite CoHo book, but I’m just amazed by Colleen’s ability to create beautiful stories every.single.freaking.time. Does she even sleep? Lol. I will always read her books. She’s one of my go-to authors!
Dear Ava by Ilsa Madden-Mills ★★★☆☆
I’m going to be really honest with you… I really didn’t like this book. It has a 4.25 Good Reads rating which means it should be good, right? Wrong. It wasn’t that good. Well, at least for me. I found it so cringe-y and cliche. I’m used to reading NA that deals with past issues but this one, I just didn’t enjoy.
Love & Gelato by Jenna Evans Welch ★★★★☆
I liked this book! I love books that bring us to different places, in this case, it’s Italy. This one is a fun read and it makes me want to go to Italy soooo bad. Well, the book is about friendships, family, and love. It didn’t really focus more on the protagonist’s love, but it’s more than that. I don’t really want to tackle it because I know I might spoil it for you guys. Lol. But, if you want to read a fun and light book, this one is for you.
Legend by Marie Lu ★★★★☆
This book was recommended to me by a friend. I’ve read dystopian novels before like Hunger Games and Divergent which are both a few of my favorites. In this book, we are introduced by a prodigy named June, and the most wanted criminal, Day. I like the idea of the book, and I wish it would turn into a series or movie like Divergent and HG so we can imagine the action and Day’s cute face. Lol.
Amy and Roger’s Epic Detour by Morgan Matson ★★★★☆
I have never been on a road trip before but reading this, it’s like I’m at the backseat of Amy and Roger’s jeep and experiencing everything with them. I actually thought I wouldn’t like this one. The book has been sitting on my shelf for years and I’ve only read it now. I enjoyed it so much but the ending was a bit unsatisfactory for me. I wanted moooore. Gah. I have a pet-peeve for cliff hangers or open endings because I’m a sucker for closures and happily-ever-afters. Lol!
Finding Perfect by Colleen Hoover ★★★★★
I’ve read Six and Daniel’s story in Finding Cinderella back in 2014 or 2015 and it has been one of my favorites from Colleen Hoover ever since. I just recently discovered that there’s a sequel! Of course, I immediately bought the ebook from Kindle and read it in one sitting. The best part of the story? The All Your Perfects x Hopeless x Finding Cinderella crossover oh.my.God!!! I was definitely shookt!
Kissing Galileo by Penny Reid ★★★★☆
Penny Reid is one of the most hilarious authors I have ever encountered. I love the banter in her stories. My favorite book of hers is Friends Without Benefits. But anywayyy, Kissing Galileo is a teacher-student romance. I know it sounds weird, right? But if you read the book, it will explain how things will go on that situation. This book also tackles body issues and a few other things. I like the fact that I learned something new from this book.
Be the Girl by K.A. Tucker ★★☆☆☆
There are books that I wish I just didn’t read. I mean, okay the message is great. It’s about bullying buuuuut the story’s a bit disappointing. I didn’t know what to feel about the book. I remember reading one of K.A Tucker’s books before and actually enjoyed so I was looking forward to reading one of her YAs but this is just bad 🙁 I didn’t like her writing here and I actually just forced myself to finish the book.
Girl at Heart by Kelly Oram ★★☆☆☆
I’ve been reading a lot of ya novels lately and when I read the synopsis of this one, I immediately got excited because it sounds like a great read. Unfortunately, after reading a few chapters I knew it isn’t for me. Both the male and female protagonists have no chemistry, ugh. And for the male protagonist as much as I like the idea of him being close to his siblings and all, I mean that’s sweet but his words and actions are bordering cringe for me (and let’s not forget his words and action towards the female protagonist, eeek!).
Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins ★★★★★
My all-time feel-good book! I still remember when Perkins signed my book in 20. /sigh It was definitely a dream come true! I still can’t find a YA romance book that can top this on my list. Okay, ’nuff said. GO READ IT.
Swear on This Life by Renee Carlino ★★★★★
OK, I was not prepared for this emotional whirlwind. This is the first Renee Carlino book I’ve read and it blew my mind. I finished reading at 2:55 am and I can’t believe I’m crying over a book. I couldn’t help but cry. It was a beautiful story! It left me with a now what am I supposed to do with my life? feeling. Dang it.
Dear Aaron by Mariana Zapata ★★★★★
I’ve read a total of 2 books from Mariana Zapata before reading Dear Aaron and I can totally say that I HATED slow burn novels with a burning passion. But, when I read Dear Aaron, I totally fell in love with the slowness of their relationship. I love their conversations and how their friendship blossomed into something more!
The Proposal by J.Lynn ★★★★☆
A short epilogue for Wait for You / Trust in Me books! Wait for You is also one of my favorite books, you have to read that one first before reading this.
Trust in Me by J.Lynn ★★★★★
Trust in Me is Cam Hamilton’s POV from Wait for You. Cam is like one of my top book boyfriends LOL. He’s just dreamy. YOU HAVE TO READ THIS.
What I Like About You by Marisa Kanter ★★★☆☆
I like that Halle, the protagonist, is a book blogger! I haven’t read many books with that kind of characters so I was really excited to read this one. What I didn’t like though is that I couldn’t imagine their features or I guess I pictured them as tweens even though they’re already seniors because most of the time they sound so whiny and childish. Hmm, I guess I expected too much from the book. It could’ve been better.
That’s about it! Lol, I know it’s a lot but I do hope you find something you like! Do you have any recommendations for romance books for me? Please do share them below!

Hello Bee!
Great list.
I wish this Quarantine would make me read more. I used to read soooo much, but the past few years I’ve been in a real slump. I made big plans to catch up on my to-read list, but then uh Animal Crossing happened.
Colleen Hoover has been on my list forever, specifically Slammed. What do you think of that book/series?
Hope you’re holding up well during this quarantine! <3

Oooh I love a good review like this, especially when the review is plural! I was really hoping to get back into reading during this period but I just haven’t – maybe now is the time to do so. Great post as always, and I hope you’re keeping well <3
