I know this post is way overdue but I figured it’s better late than never, amirite? To be honest, I wasn’t going to post this — not because I don’t want to share this momentous occasion with you but because I didn’t have great quality photos of the said event which is kind of sad. It has been almost a month since I graduated from college with a degree of Bachelor of Arts in Communication. Call me weird but I wasn’t that much giddy when I graduated because I didn’t want to graduate yet. Lol #SepAnx. I feel like I’m going to miss college forever. l.o.l
College surely had been a wild rollercoaster. I can truly say that I have learned a lot from my stay on campus. The faces, the memories, and the misadventures are just some of the things I will extremely miss. It’s time to move on, though. Huhu //sad
Anyway, so a week after I graduated I applied to three different institutions here and there. Even before, I already planned to stay here in town for the meantime and not pursue a job in the metro like everyone else. I just don’t want to be out there yet or ever, I don’t know. One thing I know, though, is that it’ll be hard to find a financially rewarding job here in my area but I just don’t want to be ~stressed~ because of the traffic and the hassle of commuting every single day if I ever decide to take over Manila. In addition to that, Tarlac is my home. I have a strong case of SepAnx so I feel know that I’ll surely be homesick.
I was immediately hired after I had my demo on the second institution I applied to. At first, I felt sad which is really weird. I mean, why would someone be sad after knowing he/she was hired? That time, I just felt that I was officially no longer a student. I needed to suck it up and take this adulthood challenge thingy for realz. After being hired, the third company I applied to called me for an initial interview. It was hard because I also wanted to work there but I had to say no because I was already employed. The struggle (!!!).
Like what I’ve said before, I was immediately hired. I felt like everything went fast and I wasn’t prepared. I was hired on a Friday and started Monday the week after. The first week was really hard. I didn’t know that the turn-out of events would be really fast. I mean, I thought I was just going to pass my CVs and wait. I was hopeful, yes, but I never would have thought that a week after my graduation I’d already have a job. Thinking about it, I never had the time to enjoy my “vacation”.
Right now, I’m still adjusting but I just want to say that I’m quite enjoying my job. I mean, I love what I do and at the same time I’m learning and influencing other people so it’s a win, ayt? Hopefully, I’ll survive the stressful days of being a working girl because I’m pretty sure it won’t always be sunny! lmao
Hello, real world! I’m ready to face whatevz you’re gonna throw my way.

Congratulations on your graduation Bee! You should have at least took a couple of weeks vacay coz you won’t pretty much get any when you start working. It’s a must for fresh graduates before entering the real world. Haha. Anyway, are you a teacher/instructor now? Coz you said you had demo when you applied for the job.
All the love, Auradelle

Thank you, Tricia! I'll keep that in mind. Wishing you the best on your job hunting. x

Yup, I also thought about the cost of living there. I did my OJT in Manila so I know how hard it is to commute and wait every single day for transpo especially on rush hour! Thanks btw, Sheena! x

Congratulations! The real, adult world can be tough and scary but as long as you believe in yourself and enjoy, you'll be fine. How I wish getting myself a job would be as quick as yours..

Congratulations! You're right – the traffic here is insane! Plus, the cost of living is super high. Most of your earnings will probably go to rent and transpo lang. It's so frustrating. Good thing that you're staying. I think it's a wise decision. Congrats, again!

Thank you so much Chrizzia!! x

Congrats! Although it may not be the most suitable option for you now, I guess you're still pretty lucky. And besides, you're still young, and allowed to make mistakes… experiment on things first, dip your toes and see if you'd like it. 🙂 And if not, I'm sure you'd still have a lot of other options and try something else. 😉

Congratulations on graduating college and getting a job!!! I think it's fine not to have any vacation for quite some time considering the high unemployment rate here in the Philippines, right? At least, you're not one of the population of who had a hard time looking for jobs. You go, girl!!! 🙂

I feel like I already congratulated you but if not, congrats on graduation AND getting hired! I feel like I missed out on a real college experience because I didn't live at my university and still stayed at home, meaning parents' strict curfews were in place 🙁 which is why I can't say I miss college too much haha. Once I graduated grad school, I thought I'd stay in my hometown a little longer, but now I feel like escaping to the bigger cities. I just quit my job and haven't applied anywhere so I can enjoy not doing anything for a little while since it's been so long since I've had a real vacation. I wish you luck with your new job, and keep sharing your new adventures!
